We are delighted to announce that Sarah T.P. Andiel will be joining us at the IDEA Debate Exchange, where she will be spearheading the trainers' track.
IDE is a weeklong exchange where debaters learn how to become better debate educators, event organisers and club runners. It is a vital way to learn best practices from each other, and improve the quality of the European debate circuits. Sarah introduces herselves in her own words:

Participants at the IDEA Debate Exchange in Sofia have started their final training day today. They are discussing ways to use debate for youth advocacy, and ways to make youth participate more with their projects, but also learn more about advanced training skills, budgeting and coaching.

Interview met Rumyana Peneva uit Sofia, Bulgarije over debatteren en de IDEA Debate ExchangeDe IDEA Debate Exchange is een jaarlijks terugkerend project van IDEA NL waarbij debattrainers uit verschillende landen bij elkaar komen om met elkaar te leren hoe zij hun training- en organisatievaardigheden kunnen vergroten. Tijdens de afgelopen debate exchange die eind augustus in Ljubljana werd gehouden kwamen zo’n 60 trainers uit 21 landen bij elkaar!

The Education Debate Centre (EDC) organised the Vilnius Debate Exchange from March 22 to 24. A total of 180 participating youth and youth workers learned about debating, judging and coaching and participated in a debate competition with topics focused on environment and education. Participants to the mixed English and Russian-speaking event came from different post-Soviet countries, including Lithuania, Russia, the Ukraine, Latvia, Belarus and Estonia.
